Apple Securities Class Action

Introduction In July 2025, a new securities-fraud class action lawsuit was filed against Apple Inc., alleging that Apple and certain current and former senior executives made materially false or misleading statements about the timing and integration of advanced generative-AI Siri features, thereby inflating the price of Apple stock. HP Ink Cartridge Blocking Class Action

Introduction A proposed class action titled Renee Robinson et al. v. HP, Inc. alleges that HP deployed firmware or software updates that disabled printers if they detected non-HP cartridges, effectively locking customers into only using HP ink. Plaintiffs contend this practice amounts to unfair competition, breach of warranty, and deceptive trade practices. A federal judge recently dismissed the complaint for failure to plausibly allege that the blocking was a contractual condition of purchase—but allowed the plaintiffs to amend and refile. Court & Jurisdiction U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Case No. 1:24-cv-00164 (Robinson et al.). Plaintiff / Class Counsel Plaintiffs are represented by Peggy Wedgworth and S. Jarret Raab of Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips (among others).
